Guess What I'm Drawing

Page history last edited by Chan Bliss 15 years, 8 months ago

I have not yet used this lesson with students.

In this project students learn to describe works of art in a way that others can reproduce them using only the spoken or writen description.

Matrials needed: pencils, drawing paper, manilla folders.

Begin by giving each student the materials above. students then setup the manila folder as a blind to hide their paper. On the drawing paper each student should make a simple drawing. (Before they begin drawing the class could brainstorm for ideas and write them on the board)

After the drawing is done students can take turns describing and drawing each others pictures.

Ok thats fun now take it to the next step, no talking just writen descriptions. Trade the writen descriptions and then draw the image.

Now for the tech part we are going to set up a wiki that allows students to work with students in other classes or schools!
